Minimum Version: v0.5.1 - Jan. 1, 2013

Synekism has a set of command line arguments for certain initialization options. They will eventually be replaced by a proper initialization file but until then these arguments might be useful.

Arguments

Argument Effect
-h, --help display list of arguments
-v, --version display Synekism version
-dx9, --force-dx9 force DirectX 9 mode (try this if Synekism fails to start)
-dm, --disable-multisampling disable multi-sampling (use this if Synekism runs really slow)

Usage

Windows

With a Shortcut:

  1. Create a shortcut to Synekism.exe either by using the Synekism installer or by using Windows Explorer.
  2. Right-click on this shortcut and select Properties.
  3. In the Shortcut tab, under Target, add the desired command line arguments (short or long version) after Synekism.exe. If the Target string is in quotes you can put the command line arguments after the end quote. One example looks like this:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Synekism\Synekism.exe" --force-dx9 --disable-multisampling

Command Prompt:

  1. Start Windows command prompt (in All Programs > Accessories).
  2. Navigate to where Synekism is installed.
  3. Run Synekism by typing Synekism.exe followed by the desired command line options, each separated by a space.
